Relative: Zimbabwe is in the southern hemisphere and eastern hemisphere. It's also near Botswana, Mozambique, South Africa, and Zambia.

Zimbabwe is an inland state of Africa aka a landlocked country.

Has a plateau called Highvald which has altitudes of 5,000 feet. Highvald sends water into the Zambezi and Limpopo river. It is the 61st largest country
in the world. Its Zambezi river is the largest river in Zimbabwe and Lake Kariba is the longest lake in Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe was formerly known as southern Rhodesia, Rhodesia and

Zimbabwe Rhodesia.

Climate

Some parts have some rain and are dry. When it does rain, it is pretty heavy. Its also hot in some parts. Winter highs are 55 to 73 degrees and lows are 37 to 47. summer highs are 77 to 86 degrees.Zimbabwe has a
rainy season from November to March.

Place- Human Characteristics/Culture

The population density is 250 to 1250 and the population is 12.27 and growing by 0.6 annually.
In Zimbabwe, English is the official language but people in rural areas speak shona and ndebele. They also greet strangers with single handshakes but have longer handshakes with friends.
Zimbabweans eat breakfast before work and the main meal in the evening. Lunch is usually light.
A typical rural home is the rendavel which is a circular, one room hut constructed of earth with a thatched roof.
National holidays include New years day, Easter, Independence day, workers day, Africa day, heroes day and defense forces Day. The life expectancy is 44 years so the people have to enjoy their lives while their young.
Freedom, work and unity is Zimbabwe's motto. The Zimbabwe bird is the national emblem of Zimbabwe.
